四件头像皆造型写实，均由中国宫廷匠师制造，但因设计者是郎世宁等来自欧洲的艺术家，故而它们的造型带有诸多西方艺术特色，成为融汇东西方文化的艺术珍品。猪首铜像造型与中国传统的猪的造型差别较大，尖嘴长吻，獠牙外凸，颇似野猪的形象，但蒲扇般伏贴的大耳，又有浓郁的中国传统审美趣味，融合了东西方造型的艺术特点。
